The Irregular Theatre Ensemble (AND/2017) is an independent group of professionals and supporters of contemporary art focused on new forms of street cabaret and socially engaged productions. Since 2016, it has been organizing the international AMPLIÓN Festival – New Cabaret and Street Art in Banská Štiavnica. The KTO Theatre (1977) is one of the most progressive Polish professional theatres with a long tradition of open-air theatre. It participates in international projects and is the organizer of the ULICA international festival in Krakow (37 years). The theatre is led by the internationally renowned director Jerzy Zoń. The creative members of the PROSTORES group from Prague represent the middle generation of Czech artists and musicians and are associated around the KRVIK TOTR cabaret theatre (1992). The project involves two founding members of the group, Petr Novotný and Tomáš Kout, who are dedicated to creating original plays. The Firebirds new circus group was founded in Budapest (2000). It is embodied by a wide range of artists and its repertoire consists of street performances, cabarets, contemporary circus and children’s theater. It is represented in the project by the Hungarian Juggling Association (MZSE). WE: MEDIA THEATER (*2018) is an independent Ukrainian art group working in the field of multimedia theater in Lviv. The leader is the young activist, director, screenwriter and playwright Sashko Brama, who experiments on the border between post-documentary theater and documentary film.
Circus Caravana
There is war at home, the circus has fallen apart, the artists are scattered abroad. What are the fates of the members of the circus family, who are looking for a new place to live and their ring in Europe? What kind of people do they meet in the V4 countries? Will they manage to replant their roots?
The musical-visual-movement performance of the creative team of four theaters brings an attractive socially-inclusive theater about the rapprochement of the residents of the V4 with the emigrants from Ukraine. The production, in the form of circus grotesque, ventilates inflated barriers, resuscitates dreams and hopes for a tolerant future.
